Meet your hosts…

We are Katerina and Stavros, a couple from Thessaloniki, Greece. We are both teachers of Secondary education and parents to two amazing boys. Travelling is one of our top priorities in life, something which we aim to do as much as possible, together with our kids. It’s also, we feel, the best way for us to make our children aware that they are citizens of the world, and also sensitive to its environmental and other issues

Katerina is an English teacher. She plays tennis, loves DIY, crocheting and singing and loves how managing the villa has given her an outlet to express her hobbies.

Stavros is a Mechanical Engineering teacher. He is into motorsports, as well as reading articles about cars and their technical features. He also likes watching and playing various sports. Maintaining the property while in nature helps him clear his mind.

How “the Dream” took form

A place to “breathe in” Mount Pelion, in all its ravishing beauty. A base, a foothold for you to explore every little nook and cranny of the Mount of the Centaurs, to discover each and every one of its immaculate beaches, its picturesque villages, its timeless tradition.

Or, a safe haven, a place for you and your loved ones to kick back and enjoy the calmness and serenity of Greek nature. Or all of the above. This is what we, Stavros and Katerina, envisioned when we transformed this one-of-a-kind place into a welcoming, sea-mountain villa for the summer and a cozy, mountain cabin for the winter.

When the villa first came into our own hands, back in 2019, we were instantly faced with a dilemma… either to sell the property, or to keep it. Everything pointed towards the first option. However, something made us gravitate towards the second, most difficult choice. Facing the unknown was frightening, yet exciting. Now, after having acquired plenty of experience as hosts, looking back we feel that we’ve chosen right.

Having our own experience as avid travellers to draw upon, our own expectations as guests, what we appreciated from our own hosts, what we considered as invaluable and what we could do without, we made all that our starting point. We used a beautifully constructed blend of local and modern architecture, added our own personal touches of décor, our own philosophy on sustainability, up-cycling, re-cycling and a lot of our DIY skills, to create a place where dreams no longer stay dreams. A place where dreams turn into memories.
