Care to ski with a sea view? In Pelion Mountain, you can!
You know, how we always go on and on about how short the distance is between the Pelion ski centre and East Pelion beaches, bla bla bla…?
Well, we can prove it, too! We’ve decided to film 🎥 the entire route and talk you through it, to give you a taste of just how awesome our Pelion Mountain really is!!! We zeroed (0) the odometer at Pelion ski centre parking lot, and set off for our -short- journey. And we say short, because driving to Agios Ioannis took us less than 30 mins, it actually took us 26! 😃 The descent was a little steep, but it’s this very inclination of the road that makes the distance so short… You’ll notice how luscious the vegetation is, even now in winter! 🍁🍂
The difference between the temperature at the ski centre and the temperature at sea level is also pretty impressive. In the video we recorded a difference of 5 degrees, but in summer and in the heart of winter it can easily reach 10-15 °C. It’s amazing how you can switch from high to low temperature throughout the day, according to your tastes!!!
How cool is this! (Pun intended😄) What impressed even us, was the fact that A Dream Deferred is at the very centre of the distance, that is 13 mins from the ski centre, and another 13 mins to the beach. When we say sea-mountain villa, we really mean it!! ☺️ Times may vary, of course, according to weather conditions, or the traffic, but the changes would be minor… and that, right there, is one of the reasons why Pelion is like no other place in the world, (there are literally 3-4 ski resorts in the world with a sea view).
